Not sure what to do... (Updated)
Updated: Feb 18
This one has given me a bit of trouble. The image below doesn’t capture it perfectly—sorry! The sun is really bright today after all the rain, and the sky is crystal clear ahead of Wednesday’s storm.
Something feels off, and it’s one of those paintings I’ll need to sleep on. The solution will come to me, but for now, I’ll let it marinate—like good fried chicken! (Weird analogy, I know!) Throw me a bone and let me know what you think!
Do I need more "true" green? More purple? The blue here actually leans a little more purple in person.
When I stand back in my kitchen and compare it to number 7, this one feels more neutral and less vibrant. A lot of Pollock’s paintings had a neutral palette, so maybe I should go that route?
Or maybe I should add a touch of orange like I used in number 7? What do you think?
*Update*: Below is the revised paint. I added more "Rumors" (Burgundy) in a different way. In areas where the white was a little in your face and too big I painted burgundy in selected areas with a brush. And, I added the deep orange lightly, to warm the painting up a little bit. Now, I'm happy!
