Maybe it's time to beat on something...

Is there a hidden meaning behind that subject line? You decide! I'm keeping my lips sealed! 😎

I need a drum set to start recording my cover tunes, and why not go digital instead of acoustic? I’ve owned two Roland electronic drum kits in the past—while I liked them, they never quite felt like acoustic drums. The stiffness and weight difference really affect the way they play, more than you’d think.

So, I’m eyeing the set pictured below—a little gift to myself! I’ve earned it after two months of hard work on the Food Bank software, which I finally wrapped up last week. On top of that, I created the user help documentation and a programmer’s reference guide. The help docs are even built into the software—just press F1! Huge shoutout to Gemini.AI for helping me crank them out.

Now, the big question: Do I want to play drums live or stick with guitar? My hands start acting up after two hours of guitar, but with drums—since I’m not using individual fingers as much—I might be able to play longer. That’s the plan, at least! Getting older has its challenges, but I’m not complaining. I’ve had a blast in this life, so every day forward is just a bonus!

What do you think? 🤓 PS: I may get a second 12" mounted top and replace the 10" tom (left tom), because the 12" tom has three sensors instead of one and plays/feels better.

*Update: I ordered a set and they should arrive next week! Exactly as pictured below.
