While art and painting hold a special place in my heart, my first and truest passion has always been music.

The last time I played in a band was in 2010. Has it really been that long? I recently came across my old Alter Ego song list today from 2004. Time flies!

This afternoon, I decided to dust off some old tunes and practiced along with Ritchie Blackmore’s *Rainbow*. And guess what? The kid still has it! I spent the entire session hanging with the “Man in Black,” playing through their song list, and to my surprise, I was keeping up effortlessly.

Maybe all the cycling I’ve been doing is strengthening my hands and fingers because playing feels easier now.

I was blown away by how natural it felt to dive into songs I hadn’t touched in years. Rainbow’s music, especially Blackmore’s, is no walk in the park—it’s challenging and demands precision. But somehow, I managed to play cleanly, and it’s got me fired up! It’s exciting to know I can still keep up with such complex music.

With more free time on my hands, I think it’s time to start setting goals and getting back to playing live gigs.

There’s nothing quite like the energy of performing live—connecting with the crowd, seeing them dance, and sharing that joy through music. It’s hands down the most fun I’ve ever had. Playing for others while they lose themselves in the moment with the band is an unbeatable feeling.

I was born to play live—it’s in my blood, and I feel it every time I pick up my guitar. I’m at my happiest when I’m performing. It’s a done deal—time to make it happen!
